A mostly dry and warm start to the new week. We will see high temperatures around the coast in the upper 80s to 90 degrees. We continue to watch Hurricane Erin, as it churns in the Atlantic. The forecast continues to have Erin passing between the Carolina coast and Bermuda. This will bring rough surf and strong rip currents to the area starting Tuesday and lasting through at least Friday. Waves building to around 5-7 feet by Wednesday and Thursday. Please adhere to lifeguard directives. Towards the end of the week, a cold front passes through bringing a chance of a few scattered showers and storms Friday into Saturday.
